Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Win Film Grants.
Last updated August 3, 2026
Win Film Grants is a product of Intersectionnel Films Inc. ("Win Film Grants," "we," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Win Film Grants website and application (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Win Film Grants was previously called My Film Slate, at myfilmslate.ca. Same company, same product, same account — only the name and the address changed, on August 3, 2026.
Who can use Win Film Grants
You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and that you're responsible for activity under your account.
What Win Film Grants does, and what it doesn't
Win Film Grants helps you organize your materials, track deliverables, and prepare and revise applications to Canadian funding programs. It guides and structures your work.
Win Film Grants does not write your application for you, and we do not guarantee any funding outcome. Funding decisions are made entirely by the funders and their juries, on their own criteria and timelines. Nothing in the Service is a promise that you will be funded, shortlisted, or evaluated in any particular way.
Our name describes what you are trying to do, not what we promise you will get. Winning a grant is the job; the Service helps you do that job well. It is not a claim that using it will win you one.
Funding information and eligibility figures
The Service surfaces publicly available information about funding programs — for example, how many applications a program allows per year and the maximum grant amount a program offers — and tracks your own applications against it. Any dollar figure or "eligible" amount shown in the Service (including totals like "up to $X" or how much you could still apply for) is a ceiling on what you may apply for, based on program rules — not an amount you have been awarded, promised, or are likely to receive.
Arts and film funding is competitive. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding, and if you are funded, it does not guarantee the full amount shown. Win Film Grants does not make, influence, or predict any funder's decision — it only helps you track and prepare your own applications against publicly available program information.
Your account
We use Clerk to manage sign-in. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your content
You own the content you put into Win Film Grants: your project materials, application drafts, and everything you write or upload. We don't claim ownership of it.
To run the Service for you, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not sell your content, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers we rely on to run the product (see our Privacy Policy). We never use your content to train AI models. For exactly where AI is and isn't involved, see AI & Your Content.
Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is subject to our Code of Conduct. In short: don't misuse the Service, don't try to break or abuse it, and don't use it to harm others or break the law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Code of Conduct.
Billing and subscriptions
Paid plans are billed through Stripe, our payment processor. By starting a paid plan you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your account settings. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
- No refunds for unused time. We don't provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
- Promo and access codes. We may offer promotional or complimentary codes (for example, to alpha and beta participants). These may comp some or all of a subscription and may carry their own terms or expiry. We can change or withdraw promotional offers at any time, except where you've already relied on them.
- Price changes. We may change our prices. If we do, we'll give you notice before a change affects your renewal.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular result, including any funding result.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Intersectionnel Films Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost funding, or lost data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms, with notice where reasonable.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
